We begin from 11 am to 12 pm at Mitchell Community Center (602 W. Mitchell Rd Memphis, TN 38109) with a brief presentation where attendees can learn about litter prevention and their watershed. There will be a raffle with prizes at the end for those who attend this portion of the event.

From 12:15-1:15, we will be putting pollution prevention in action with a clean-up of Roosevelt Park, behind Mitchell Community Center! Please sign-up to participate in our clean-up here and afterward don’t forget to fill in and submit the waiver by May 19 to receive a special ‘Only Rain Down the Storm Drain Mane!’ t-shirt while supplies last! Shirts may be available for volunteers after this date, but will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Our pre-registered clean-up volunteers who have signed their waivers will also receive a $2 voucher good for redemption at Steve’s ice cream truck located at our Community Event!

Need community service credit hours? We are offering 2 community service hours for participating in the clean-up and public meeting- but High Schoolers under the age of 18 MUST have their legal guardian sign the waiver! Don’t forget to register- that is a separate step here!

Lots of family fun will be available from 11 am - 3 pm with our vendor space at Alonzo Weaver Park (730 W Mitchell Rd Memphis, TN 38109)! We’ll have a DJ, vendors, games for kids and adults, food trucks, and citizen science! We hope you plan to be there!

In rain event, the meeting and community event will be held at Mitchell Community Center (602 W Mitchell Rd) the same day and time. The clean-up may be post-poned or held at a different time to avoid the rain. Please check our Facebook page for details.
